NGOs: Why partner with GeoMundo?

GeoMundo's aim is to predominantly support small-sized NGOs.

Whilst working for social and cultural projects in the field of aid development we have encountered many smaller NGOs without a bigger support network they could rely on. Often it was private people who set up a small-scale social projects, unsupported by anything except their own enthusiasm and eagerness to help the people in their neighbourhood. One of those examples is the story of Edgar and Gloria, a couple from Cusco, who gave everything they had to help educate little children whose parents need to make money by collecting plastic bottles in the street (read more here...).

It was those less well-known and less favoured who inspired us to rather direct our support towards them instead of working together with NGOs that can already luckily rely on the infrastructure and a firm back up of an international network. e.g. initiated by international organisations like the Red Cross, Weltwärts or other EU development aid programmes.

For us, people like Edgar and Gloria need someone who can represent what they are doing, because they would not know how to represent themselves for they do not have the necessary technical or business know-how in order to set up their own online presence nationally or internationally. Plus, they simply do not have the time to promote their own little project.

The smaller projects often do not know how to survive from one day to the other – just as the people they take care of. So, if you are running one of the less advantaged projects please see this as an option tailor made for you to present your project to us. We will do our best and see what we can do for you!

With our new project partner, the GeoMundo NGO Taxi, we specifically try to find the smaller project sites that need our help in form of goods and services which they would otherwise only hardly receive.

So what can we do for you?

When you register and partner with GeoMundo we can search our database of volunteers to find the right match for the manpower you need. You simply have to let us know what kind of project(s) you are running. We can then send you our cadidate's profile and discuss their placement.

We now also support our new project partner, the NGO Taxi South America, with manpower of enthusiastic volunteers who come from various backgrounds with a broad variety of skills. We carefully select our volunteers before we set up a team to make sure the aid you need will be delivered at professional level.

We are also happy that we can offer you help through our partner vehicle as a means of transport on which you can rely for goods such as construction material, food and medication or other services like weekend excursions (e.g. camping and hiking with orphants at a lake nearby or seeking any site of interest that you would otherwise not be able to visit).
